Buffalo Stars Juniors off to Train in Lake PlacidThe Buffalo Stars Empire Junior ice hockey team is set to depart for Lake Placid, NY to complete week #4 of their Training Camp. The team will house and train at the Olympic Training Center Facility and skate at the Olympic Arena. The team will depart Buffalo this Friday morning and make a stop at Syracuse to take on the Syracuse Stars in an exhibition game. Following the game the team will depart for Oswego State College for a tour of the facility and a question and answer session with Oswego State Men's Division 3 Hockey Coach Ed Gosek. The team will arrive at the OTC around 6pm, settle in and have dinner. The team will participate in 3 on ice practices while in Lake Placid. In addition, the team will have access to all of the strength and conditioning facilities at the OTC and will participate in on ice and off-ice training activities. There will also be time set aside for some sight-seeing and shopping. The team will return to Buffalo Sunday evening. The Stars will wrap up their final week of Training Camp next weekend as they participate in the Annual Greater Buffalo Challenge Labor Day Tournament at Holiday Rinks. The Stars open the regular season on October 1st and 2nd as they host the Jersey Wildcats in the Annual Salute to the American Troops Weekend.
